FATHER'S LOVE
by peekaboo

I saw You in a way I'd never seen before
And Your beauty made me weep.
In this revelation You gave me a treasure.
One that I could keep.

I saw You as a father
Filled with the same love with which I love.
Because of my daughter's dilemma,
Which I'll not speak too much of.

But, I saw that You had been there a while.
The look on Your face was so sweet
When I realized You've stood where I stand,
As our eyes began to meet.

I hurt because I wait for her
And pray she doesn't lose her way.
Your eyes told me that she was me,
When I chose not to obey.

I suddenly saw how You love me
And that love doesn't go away,
But patiently waits for it's loved one to return
And take their rightful place.
